COLLEGE & GRADUATE EF SUPPORT

Kate and Sarah both specialize in working with college students and graduate students on executive functioning skills that support success; both have taught undergraduate and graduate-level courses, and have worked with clients studying in fields as diverse as machine learning, history, musicology, mechanical engineering, ecology, medicine, marine biology, business, education, culinary arts, and sociology. We focus not on the subject matter, but on the skills needed to access it, use time effectively, maximize motivation, and stay organized.

For high school students just beginning the college transition period, we focus on building the skills to become fully independent. Clients in the process of developing their college essays and supplements often consult with us starting in the summer before 12th grade. Additionally, many students benefit from opportunities to discuss the college process starting at the end of 10th grade so that they can reduce stress, avoid feeling overwhelmed or competitive with other students, and develop independence and motivation. These topics can typically be addressed alongside overall executive functioning coaching to support a student’s academic growth while still in high school.
